Quality control
Glide allows you to handle quality control seamlessly. Update items in a single click.
You'll see this page when you first click on the quality control (QC) menu item on the left.

As we do for manufacturing, we work with line items during quality control. This keeps orders moving through the system without delay, meaning you'll see both order and line item numbers in the table.
Click the review button on the right to start the quality control process.
Reviewing a line item
You'll see a line item detail page after clicking the review button on the main quality control page. It'll look like this.

You have all the details to check a line item on the left.
On the right, you have a checklist.
Click the green 'Confirm Quality' button to move a line item to the final shipping stage. It'll wait for the rest of the order to be ready (more details in the shipping section).
Line items that fail quality control get sent back to be reprinted or redesigned. It depends on the root cause of the issue.
For example, if you don't have enough, click reject & reprint, then enter the quantity you need.
However, if there's a design defect, such as a spelling mistake, you can reject & send to design. The line item returns to the design queue in the print rejections list.
Quality control benefits
Full traceability
Knowing who passed the order through quality control is vital to help with training and answering any queries.
The history of a line item shows what happened & when (see image below).

Avoid expensive double shipments.
One of the largest P & L items may be your shipping. Anything you can do to reduce this cost is hugely beneficial. A consistent quality control process reduces incorrect orders from shipping.
How to skip quality control
Whilst we recommend you quality check all your items, if you want to skip this step, that's also possible.
To skip QC, you can edit the manufacturing route to remove the 'Verify quality' step.
Edit a manufacturing route in Settings >> Manufacturing routes.
Click on the manufacturing route you want to edit, then on the final step in the route, change the 'Done task' from 'Verify quality' to 'Ship.' This will send the line item to shipping once done rather than QC.
